Kenya Trip
In October, 20 of our senior pupils along with 2 members of staff, are travelling to Kenya to visit the Jolaurabi School and Orphanage. For two weeks the group will help out at the school and with projects in the local community. They will have the opportunity to interact with children and teenagers living completely lives and witness some of the extreme poverty and deprivation that impact on the community and the work taking place to help.
Jolaurabi is run through Educate the Kids, a charity set up by a Scottish couple in 1998 in a small village just outside Mombassa in Kenya. The charity set up a kindergarten, school and orphanage where hundreds of the poorest children have been given access to an education. As a school we want to make a difference!
